Plai Essential Oils is my favorite oil to use for pain, its a close relative to Ginger, its aroma is similar to Eucalyptus with peppery notes.
Plai oil is said to be good for sore muscles, therefore it's often used by aromatherapists in massage blends. It has powerful analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties that are beneficial for injuries and muscular aches and pains. It is also know for its relief of post-operative pain and inflammation its strong analgesic properties are reported to ease pain for up to hours.
It blends well with Bergamot, Lime, Lavender, and Sandalwood. It's important to note that Plai often is incompatible with some carrier oils. Our supplier recommends to blend with Hemp Seed oil or Grape Seed oil, I have successfully blended it with Coconut Oil.
Plai when used for pain has been found to work best when blended with helichrysum or Roman Chamomile.
Plai essential oil is considered non-toxic, non-sensitizing and non-irritating. Always best to spot test first though on sensitive skin.
Plai essential oil is also a lovely digestive tonic and can help ease nausea and work to soothe irritable bowels.
